Lessons built around you
I've been playing the piano for most of my life and teaching for over 25 years. I hold a BA in Piano and a Master's in Education, am a member of the European Piano Teachers Association (EPTA UK), and I'm fully DBS checked and insured.
Over the years I've learned that there is no single "right" way to teach piano.
Every student brings different strengths, interests and ways of learning.
Some students thrive with clear structure. Others flourish through creativity, improvisation or composing. Some are working towards exams. Others simply want to enjoy making music.
My role is to understand how each student learns best, then build lessons that help them make meaningful progress while developing strong technique, musical understanding and confidence at the piano.
Whether you're taking your very first lesson or returning after years away, my goal is simple: to help you become a confident, independent musician who enjoys making music for life.

New Students & Availability
About
I work with a limited number of private, in-person piano students from Poringland, Norwich, and the surrounding villages, allowing each learner to receive thoughtful, individual attention.
Availability is intentionally limited.
My teaching works particularly well for people looking for:
-
a calm, encouraging learning environment
-
lessons tailored to the individual rather than a one-size-fits-all programme
-
long-term musical development
-
flexibility to explore different musical interests
If you’re interested in joining us at Winter Piano Studio, the best next step is a short, no-pressure conversation to see whether it’s a good fit.
